How do i get rid of acne and black heads?

I have had pimples and zits and blackheads since i was 12 years old, since then my skin has never been perfectly clear for one day, i have tried everything, neutrogena, proactive, clean and clear, and clearasil! NOTHING works! its maddening. i dont have any reddening, so im not off to bad but i really would like to have clear skin!People compliment me all the time on my fair skin but there a pimples on my forehead and chin area! and i have no idea how to get rid of blackheads. Please Help
