Where can I get a good proposal on livestock feeding strategies in the semi arid tropics of Africa.?

I am trying to help resource poor livestock keepers in the semi arid areas of kenya to improve the productivity of their livestock. The rainfall is about 500 mm annually. Some practice crop farming with livestock as an alternative source of livelihood.
