Is our society becoming too accepting of "big women"?

I think that society is definitely becoming too accepting of bigger women. I mean I have nothing against heavier people most of my family is overweight, but I don't think that it should be encouraged by telling overweight women that they are as beautiful as supermodels. I can understand that people don't want to hurt their feelings, but that is no reason to make it seem okay to be overweight when it could hurt them. the reaosn that overweight women are coddled and not the men thought is because women are much more aware and sensitive about how they look then men are, or at least men don't seem to be as sensitive about it.
