Me and my husband are legally married....Well can my In Laws throw the cops on me for trying to talk to him.?

Me and my husband live in Texas because thats where Im stationed. He recently moved back here in Feb. to California because of our arguements. Well I just got here last Sunday for a family emergency. Me and the husband talked and where doing great. But we got into another arguement and now his father & gramma are calling the cops on me. I got a call from his gramma to not step on her property (my husbands father lives on the same property as her)., so I went yesterday to leave her a gift for mothers day. (im good hearted) I DID NOT get even near their property., I stood down the road at the stop sign. I texted my husband (hes about to be 21) to go meet me there but he never answered a single text. So i called his gramma., she let it ring at first so I called her again., she then ignored it. I left her a VM to let her know I got her a gift and that they can meet me anywhere to get it because I was not going to get near their property because Im not trying to get into any trouble. I never got an answer. So I left to my mother in laws (mind this., my mother in law and father in law are divorced)... So I called her & well Im welcome at her home. Me and her were chit chatting outside in the front yard as she watered her plants. Well her husband calls her in for a phone call....She came back outside to ask if I called my husbands gramma and I said yes and I told her what happened. she was like "ok hun., because his dad just called and asked if you were here and I said yes that we are talking outside. He told me he was calling the police for you being here". She was upset about it as I was too. Can I get in trouble for trying to talk to my husband and work things out., when Im NOT even contacting his dads side of the family directly. His mother understands but his gramma and father are the ones calling the police. I dont get it.! Someone let me know.
